In July 2018, Israel's Knesset approved the Nation-State Bill, a controversial piece of legislation, both at home and abroad, which declared Israel a sovereign state for the Jewish people. It followed US President Donald Trump's 2017 decision to relocate the United States embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Both events provoked consternation and scorn from many countries, and offer the latest twists in the Israeli-Palestinian saga: two peoples on an everlasting - and seemingly irreconcilable - path to peace. Israel and Palestine: The Complete History seeks to explain the overall story of Israeli and Palestinian tensions and divisions in the region. Indeed, without properly understanding the full history of the area, it is impossible to understand the current situation. In this book, author Ian Carroll takes the listener back to the very beginning of the conflict some 4,000 years ago, then moves through the major events of the Middle Ages and 20th century, and brings us right up to the present day, documenting the significant events that have happened along the way. The listener is allowed to make up their own mind as to where praise and condemnation belong with this complicated issue. From Exodus to the birth of Jesus, from Islam to the Crusades, through the Diaspora and up to the recreation of the modern state of Israel and beyond, Israel and Palestine: The Complete History avoids a dry academic approach. It aims to tell the history of the region and peoples in a balanced and brisk fashion, from a storyteller’s perspective. With talk of a Third Intifada and the introduction of the Nation-State Bill all bringing this age-old issue to the forefront of world news once more, there has never been a more appropriate time to understand and appreciate Israel and Palestine’s history. 1. This book deals with the issue of the jurisprudential analogical reasoning (al-Qiyas al-Fiqhi) in Islam from a scientific perspective. It is a new reading that attempts to deconstruct the philosophical and religious structures on which Qiyas is established, depending on the tools of modern scientific criticism. It also introduces a new model in Qiyas that aims to solve problems that the modern Moslem suffers from and suggests solutions that are appropriate to the jurisprudential principles and the spirit of the age.

The challenge of the inconsistencies between faith and practice among Christians has always been a source of concern for minister since the time of apostolic ministry.Things have not so much changed since then,The Wanga people of Africa are not unique,as such they too are prone to this challenge. The above therefore has resulted in less commitment of the Africans to churches. This has further led to the Africans moving from Christianity to other religions such as Islam, and at times back to the African traditional religion,to seek religious satisfaction. Inculturation of Christian concepts such as atonement and their interpretations will form the most appropriate way to solving this problem. This is because inculturation will make Christianity an internalized religion hence becoming a faith that is fully lived, able to answer, religious questions among not only Africans but Christian family as a whole. This book looks at the following aspects of atonement, atonement among the Africans and in the bible. Being a relational concept, the interpretation is bound to be relation based.Yet this ought to have its value founded on the bible for it to speak to the people of God in their culture.
The relationship between Islam and domestic violence is disputed. There is still, among Islamic scholars, a debate about whether there are occasions on which a man beating a woman is appropriate. These ideas are justified with reference to the Qur'an, especially An-Nisa, 34, which discusses forms of beating in certain circumstances. Many of the scholars allowing "beating" stress that it is a last resort, discountenanced, and must be done so as not to cause serious injury.
Education has played a critical role in the development of modern Egypt. Indeed, it has become a microcosm of Egyptian society, politics and culture--a stage in which Egypt has struggled to preserve and sustain its cultural integrity. Both external and internal forces continue to hamper the efficacy of Egypt s educational system by producing inconsistent and incompatible cognitions. Using Cognitive Dissonance Theory, this thesis is designed to analyze these forces through multiple modes of enquiry. Using historical, ethnographic and textual evidence, this thesis examines the social dissonance caused by different social groups as they define the appropriate role of Islam in public institutions such as the university. Egypt s educational dissonance can be traced to its long history of foreign intervention and a political leadership whose educational policies often run counter to the sentiment of the populace.
